Winston, a relative newcomer to tournament poker, has had a tremendous run in 2007. His most recent cash came just yesterday, when he won
event No. 7 of the Bellagio
Five-Diamond World Poker Classic, a $2,000 no-limit hold'em event.
A medical doctor from Rancho Mirage, California, Winston has been cashing in major tournaments for nearly two years. At the 2007
World Series of Poker main event, Winston finished in 26th place out of 6,358 players to walk home with more than $333,000. Then, at the 2007
World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open, he won the nearly $1.6 million first-place prize.
