Michael Woo Wins Winnin' O' the Green Main Event

Follows Last Year's Third-Place Finish With a Win Worth $86,000

Michael WooThe Winnin’ O’ the Green tournament series at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California, ended this weekend with a $2,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em championship event, and pro Michael Woo improved his third-place finish from last year by winning the $86,000 first-place prize.

Woo defeated a field of 105 players to snag his portion of the nearly $255,000 prize pool. In addition to the prize money, Woo was also awarded a $10,000 seat into the Legends of Poker main event.

At last year’s Winnin’ O’ the Green main event, Woo made more than $44,000 for third place. He has been cashing in major tournaments for nearly two decades and has accumulated just under $1.5 million in lifetime earnings.
