Poker Stars European Poker Tour Announces New Schedule

First Event Kicks Off in Barcelona in Early September

The European Poker Tour is nearing its fifth season, and with the success of last year’s installment that saw the biggest prize pool ever generated outside of Las Vegas in the Monte Carlo Grand Final, organizers look forward to even bigger turnouts and prize pools.

The first event of this year’s EPT will take place in Barcelona at the beginning of September. The tour will stop in nine countries, and chief executive of the EPT John Duthie says that they are expecting to add new venues to the tour.

PokerStars will, of course, be running satellites for each of these events. Last year, of the 5,902 players who competed in a events, 1,682 of them were PokerStars qualifiers. Satellites for the Barcelona event will begin on July 7 and start as low as $2.20. Players can also take advantage of a special PokerStars deposit bonus from Card Player.
