The second stop in Atlantic City on the 2008-2009 World Series of Poker Circuit schedule begins today at Caesars Atlantic City. The first tournament is a $300 no-limit hold’em tournament, and the Circuit stop concludes with the crowning of a champion in the $5,000 championship event on Saturday, March 14. There will be 11 events in all, and eight of them will have Card Player Player of the Year points up for grabs. The championship event will feature starting stacks of 20,000 and blinds begin at 25-50. Levels will be 60 minutes long, and they will increase to 90 minutes at the final table.
Single-table satellites will run daily, Mar.4-11, from noon-midnight with a buy-in of $80. Step 1 $340 mega-super-satellites will run daily at 4 p.m., and step 2 $570 mega-super-satellites will run at 8 p.m. Step 1 winners receive entry into a step 2 tournament, and the player who finishes second receives another entry in a step 1 event. For each $5,150 buy-in created by the step 2 mega-super-satellite, one entry will be awarded in the championship event.
