Blue Square Sponsors Jeff Kimber

Blue Square Poker, sponsor of both the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (the third leg of which concluded over the weekend), and the Amateur Poker Association and Tour, has announced its sponsorship of professional poker player, Jeff Kimber.

Kimber will now join the rest of the Blue Square Poker team which includes Mickey Wernick, Praz Bansi and Karl Mahrenholz. Kimber said, “I’m very happy to join such a strong team of sponsored players at Blue Square Poker and to be representing a company who put so much into the U.K. poker circuit.”

Best known for taking down the 2007 World Heads Up Championship in Barcelona, among various other achievements, Kimber was formerly sponsored by Ladbrokes. Once his deal with that site ended, Blue Square stepped in.

Mike Butlin, Commercial Manager at Blue Square Poker, said, “Jeff has proven to be one the most talented and popular players in the U.K. over a number of years and we are delighted he will now be representing Blue Square Poker. No doubt he’ll be doing so on many final tables in the near future.”
