The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) events are now in full swing. The SCOOP is a 22-tournament series spread out over 11 days of action. Each tournament is offered with three different sets of buy-ins ranging from low, to mid, to high stakes. Buy-ins are offered for as little as $5.50 and can be as high as $25,500. Make sure you check out the full schedule of events.

Event No. 11 -- Mixed Hold'em

James 'Andy McLEOD' ObstMixed hold'em, a combination of limit and no-limit hold'em, was on display for event No. 11 of the SCOOP. Golferen50 won the $30 buy-in tournament and banked $23,058 for his victory.

Over the in mid-stakes $300 buy-in tournament, riverburn22 outlasted the field of 1,125 for $56,531. Jay "shaihulud" Kinkade took third and picked up 480 OPOY points to put him in sixth place overall on the OPOY leader board.

The high-stakes $3,000 buy-in tournament had major Online Player of the Year implications. Heading into the final two tables, OPOY candidates Chris "Moorman1" Moorman (eighth), David "WhooooKidd" Baker (seventh), and Steve "gboro780" Gross (second) were all trying not only to pick up points and a big payday, but one-up each other, as well. Gross steamrolled the final table and started heads-up play with a huge chip lead. The eventual winner, James "Andy McLEOD" Obst (pictured right) was all in on the short stack with pocket nines against Gross and his A-K. The board bricked for Gross and Obst doubled up to come back and win the tournament for $184,000.

If he had won the tournament, Gross would have picked up enough points to reclaim the OPOY lead from Shaun Deeb. Instead, he sits just 50 points behind.

Frank 'gator93' HernandezA familiar face took down the low-stakes $20 buy-in version of event No. 12. Chris "PiMaster" Viox finished on top of the 3,062-player field for a score of $9,951.

The high-stakes $2,000 buy-in attracted an elite field of 106. The final table featured notables such as John "$30K" Racener (seventh), Dan "Lenny" Heimiller (sixth), Jon "PearlJammer" Turner (second), and eventual winner Frank "gator93" Hernandez (pictured left). Hernandez won $57,770 for his victory.
