PKR Team Pro gets “discomonkey” Karl Fenton

Karl “discomonkey” Fenton has become the latest player to sign with PKR.com and is now a member of Team PKR Pro. After grinding his way through the small stakes, Fenton took down the PKR Sunday Classic in Nov. 2008, and went on to win more than $200,000 from online tournaments in only seven months. He has also been doing well on the live scene with some final tables to add to his name.

The former finance student has now taken a break from his studies to pursue his poker career, and as he sets his sights on Vegas, he says, “Quite honestly the first career I have ever been able to see myself making a real success out of was poker. It is something I have a deep interest in and something I have begun to make work. Hopefully this opportunity with PKR will prove to be the springboard to a lifetime of success in the game. Fenton is the seventh member of the new Team PKR Pro which includes James ‘james666’ Sudworth who is already creating a name for himself on the international circuit with a seventh place in the World Series of Poker $2,500 no-limit six-handed event, narrowly missing out on the final table, for a payday of $54,777.
