The Irish Sports Betting Awards, sponsored by the Irish Independent, Betfair, SIS, and the Irish Greyhound Board, is taking place tonight at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
The awards on most of the Irish poker community’s lips are “Best Poker Tournament” and “Best Casino Club”.
Nominees for “Best Poker Tournament” are:
• Boylepoker International Poker Open
• End of the Month Poker Tournament (Fitzwilliam Card Club)
• Irish Classic Poker Festival (Macau Sporting Club)
• Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival Killarney
Nominees for “Best Casino Club” include:
• The Macau Sporting Club, Cork (which hosts the Irish Classic Poker Festival)
• The Fitzwilliam Card Club
• The Sporting Emporium

Those stuck at home tonight however may be interested in taking a shot at DevilfishPoker.com’s bounty tournament at 8 p.m. (BST) as part of its second instalment of the Final Table from Hell. While Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott is away in Vegas, the usual €250 bounty on his head will roll over until Jul. 14 when he returns to play the winners of five bounty tournaments.
