The European Masters of Poker is making its way towards Barcelona from its last stop in Prague where 258 players competed for the top rung of the €258,000 prize pool.

On Jul. 29, Casino Barcelona will be the location for four days of poker-fuelled mayhem, as this leg is anticipated to be the biggest with up to 500 players, which in turn will create a prize pool of €500,000.

The leader board competition running alongside the events makes it that bit more exciting with five percent taken from each tournaments prize pool, and split between the top 15 players after all five tournaments are completed. First place is estimated to be €25,000, plus a watch worth €10,000 if he/she has earned 25,000 VIP points between Jan. 1, 2009, and the start of the final event.

Every Sunday at 7:40 p.m. (CET), the €100 Sunday Main Qualifier will give away at least six packages worth €1,800. There are nine daily satellites to the qualifier every day across the Entraction Network. Four packages are guaranteed each Wednesday in the €100 Wednesday Main Qualifier at 7.40 p.m., for which there are five daily satellites to.

Hopefuls can attempt to qualify for the small price of €2 or even 200 VIP points. The tour’s premium partners include i4poker, Pokerihuone, Pinnacle Sports, Daily Poker, 24h Poker, KickOffPoker, and GoldWin Poker.

Vladislav Shuravin from Russia was the last champ. He took €39,675 home from Prague after making a deal while five-handed on a final table which included EMOP Bulgaria winner Reuven Dayan.
