Richard Gryko Wins GUKPT Luton

Essex Man Lifts £88,850 Top Prize at Grosvenor UK Poker Tour

Well known UK pro Richard Gryko yesterday won the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Luton, topping the 304 strong field to lift the first prize of £88,850.

Gryko beat Summer Series Bolton main event runner up Alan McLean heads up having gone into the match as 2-1 chip leader. McLean fought back but after 40 minutes of play they were both all in with A-9 and 4-4 respectively. An ace fell on the turn and McLean had to settle for his second runner up spot of the summer. Gryko had started the final table as chip leader and ended the tournament with every chip in play.

The final results were:

The Grosvenor Summer Series continues from Aug. 27 to Aug. 30 at the G Casino, Coventry while the GUKPT returns to Cardiff on Aug. 31 to Sept. 6.
