Young Swede Ramzi Jelassi has taken down his biggest live win so far in his career with first place in the PokerStars.com Italian Poker Tour San Remo.

After earning €170,000 for trumping the field, a confident Jelassi said, “Easy Game. Had Q-Q as my best hand yesterday, which I lost, never any A-A or K-K. Owned them all the way and had a little bit of luck on the final table when I won the important all-in situations.”

While heads up versus Italian Andrea Sapere, Jelassi won 90 percent of the chips when all in preflop his pocket fours then made a set leaving Sapere’s A-7 in the dust.

Two hands later, they were all in once more and for the last time. Jelassi had K-7 and Sapere held Q-10. A 7 on the flop was enough to give Jelassi the top prize and the title.

RedKings Poker has been sponsoring the Swede for the past year. The site’s Live Events Manager, Jerry Land, said, “We know what Ramzi is capable of and this win was definitely on the cards. It is not often a player gets such a golden opportunity as Ramzi had for the final day but he also dominated the final table with good solid poker in the typical aggressive Ramzi Jelassi style. Congratulations from everyone at RedKings and the rest of the Pro Team!”

The next major event the former Card Player Generation Next star will play is the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona, which begins on Friday. The Card Player team will also be there every step of the way, bringing you interviews, news, and live reports.
