Last year's Irish Poker Festival winner Jimmy McSweeneyThe Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival being held in Killarney from, Oct. 2 to 4, has sold out its direct buy in seats. The only way for poker players to qualify now is via the live €60 super satellite at the INEC Killarney where 30 seats will be up for grabs on Oct 1.

Last year the €500 + €50 buy-in main event attracted a record field of 832 players and was won by Cork man Jimmy McSweeney.

Kate McLennnan, head of Ladbrokes Poker said, “The Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker festival ticks all of the boxes for the savvy poker player. We promise players great value, a brilliant time, an excellent venue and the opportunity to experience the legendary Ladbrokes hospitality. The low buy-in (€550) allows us to host affordable satellites and introduce live poker play to a wider poker playing audience. Our first event last year was over-subscribed and although we turned a number of players away, we still ended up breaking the record for hosting the largest European ranked poker tournament.”
