World Poker Tour Stops in Bucharest Next Spring

World Poker Tour to Stop Off in Bucharest, Romania For First Time in March and April 2010

World Poker Tour visits Romania for the first time in Spring 2010The World Poker Tour, recently purchased by PartyGaming, today announced it will host a poker tournament in Bucharest, Romania from March 27 to April 2, 2010.

The €3,000 buy-in event will be held in the The Regent Casino at Novotel Hotel in the Romanian capital. It is a non-televised WPT tournament.

Sorin Constantinescu, chief executive officer of Regent‘s Casino, said, “We are happy to be in partnership with WPT and to launch this special event together for the first time in Romania. It is already known that WPT always introduce new tournaments into prestigious locations. Regent Casino Bucharest is one of those special places, and with WPT Bucharest we believe it will become an excellent meeting point for the most talented poker players from all around the world."

Earlier this month the World Poker Tour announced it would return to Paris for a televised event after a period of absence.
