The 2010 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour’s fourth leg kicked off at the G Casino, Bury New Rd in Manchester on Apr. 17, but today is the day most have been waiting for, the start of the main event.
The £1,000 buy-in tournament will play out until Sunday, Apr. 25 when a new champion will be found.
Last year, young English pro Chris Moorman bought his father Simon into the event as a late birthday present. Simon Moorman then went on to beat the field of 298 players and take home the £88,630 top prize.
The third leg of the Tour, took place in London, and was won by Vietnam-born, London resident Cuong Tran after he beat former Irish Open champion Neil Channing.
