Boatman Beat Fellow Hendon Mobster Ram Vaswani To Take Seat in December’s Final Table

Barny Boatman qualifies for Poker Million IX finalBarny Boatman joins yesterday’s winner Howard Lederer at the final table of the FullTiltPoker.com Poker Million IX in December after he beat fellow Hendon Mobster Ram Vaswani head’s up in the second heat.

Boatman reached his first Poker Million final in 10 years by overcoming a 2-1 chip deficit heads up against Vaswani, eventually taking it down with AHeart Suit QClub Suit vs KHeart Suit 5Spade Suit. The flop came all hearts and Barny was still ahead with A-high and moved all in after checking and drawing Ram into the pot. The board bricked out and Boatman was through to the final.

“I played OK and got lucky which is an unbeatable combo in this game,” he said.

“I think that the structure is great, we all like to think that deep stacked we can play the game better and today I could carry on without cards and just hang in there.


“I was in the very first final and missed out three times since then so it’s been a long time coming to get another shot and I’m delighted.”
