Ladies Treat Vedes WellApr 11, '15 On a flop of 887, the big blind checked and Tommy Vedes bet 9,200 from early position. The cutoff raises to 30,500. The big blind tanked for a moment and then mucked and action was back to Vedes. “How much are you playing?” asked Vedes. His opponent stayed silent and moved his hand to allow Vedes to eyeball the rest of his roughly 60,000 remaining in his stack. Vedes slides a stack of chips into the middle which covers his opponent’s stack and his opponent calls. “You got kings or aces?” asked Vedes as he tabled QQ. His opponent tabled 99 and was dead on the turn when the dealer peeled off the Q, giving Vedes a full house. The river is a meaningless 2 and Vedes chipped up to 215,000. Quentin Crossley Eliminated by Tommy VedesAug 02, '14 Tommy Vedes raised to 4,200 under-the-gun and was three-bet to 12,000 by Tyler Morris from middle position. Quentin Crossley cold-called from the cutoff and Vedes tanked for quite some time before moving all in for his last 68,200. “You sure took a long time before you moved all in,” said Morris as he was in the tank. Morris eventually folded his hand and then Crossley asked for an exact count and found out that it would be his tournament life on the line. Crossley pushed a stack forward and turned up his hand. Crossley showed KQ and was up against Vedes’ JJ. The flop gave Crossley some extra outs with a board of 842. The turn was the J and Vedes was the favorite again. The river was the A and Crossley was eliminated while Vedes chipped up to 125,000. “I folded ace-king,” said Morris after the hand. Player Tags: Tyler Morris, Tommy Vedes, Quentin Crossley Vedes Flops TripsAug 02, '14 Tommy Vedes opened to 3,600 from middle position and action folded around to the player in the big blind. “I’ll keep you honest,” said the big blind, flinging out a call. “I check dark.” The flop came down Q77 and action was already checked over to Vedes. He knuckled the table back, allowing the 3 to drop down onto the felt. His opponent fired 4,000 and Vedes thought for a moment before throwing out a call. The J completed the board and Vedes’ opponent continued his aggression with a bet of 8,000. Vedes came over the top with a raise to 18,800 and his opponent took some time to think. “Alright,” he said. “I’ll pay you off.” He tossed forward calling chips and Vedes rolled over K7 for trip sevens. His opponent mucked and Vedes was pushed a pot that brought his stack to about 92,000.
