Chiu took two and both players checked. The next drawing round saw Elezra grab one and Chiu took two again. Elezra bet and Chiu called. Both players drew one card on the last round and then Elezra bet. Chiu raised all in and Elezra called. Chiu showed 8-7-4-3-2 and Elezra held 7-6-5-3-2. Chiu was eliminated in fourth place and Elezra grew his stack to 800,000. Brian Brubaker Doubles Three Times Before Dinner Brian Brubaker doubled up three times during Level 25 and he is among the final three players that went to dinner break. In the first double up Brubaker revealed a 7-6-5-4-2 low against Eli Elezra to take his stack to 450,000. The second double came courtesy of Daniel Negreanu when his 9-6-5-4-3 beat the K-7-5-4-3 of Negreanu when he drew a king. That hand left Brubaker with just 90,000 though, since he had lost a large pot to Negreanu prior in the level. His last double before dinner saw Brubaker table a 8-5-4-3-2 and once again Negreanu drew a king to settle with a K-7-6-5-3. Brubaker was up to 220,000 after the hand, but Negreanu still held the lead with over a million. The river was the Q, Schwartz bet 200,000 and Chidwick called all in for 135,000. On just the second hand of play, Schwartz won a big showdown in Omah 8 with a full house against Chiu’s two pair. Schwartz flopped a set of deuces to crack Chiu’s pocket aces, taking a massive lead of nearly 5:1 with about 3.3 million to Chiu’s 700,000 after the hand. Chiu managed to chip up here and there but eventually the rising limits got the best of him and he was eliminated during the Stud 8 round of the level. Chidwick was up to over 2.2 million at one point after knocking Schwartz down to the short stack with just 200,000. Schwartz doubled back a few times through both of his opponents and managed to end the night second in chips with just about an average stack of 6.5 big bets heading into Day 4. Chidwick was not so fortunate as the clock ran out and suddenly found himself on the short stack as the night came to an end. As Chidiwick and Schwartz traded chips all level, Chiu had quietly amassed more than 1.2 million in chips before being doubled through by Ylon Schwartz in a game of Stud 8. Chiu started the hand with a wired pair of aces and bet every street until sixth where he check-raised Schwartz all-in with the best hand. Schwartz called with a split pair of queens and was behind, but he paired his ten on the river while Chiu bricked. Schwartz doubled up to over 1.5 million that hand while Chiu was sent back on the short stack once again with just 390,000. Chiu quickly doubled back through Schwartz in the same round and then went on to climb his way up the leader board, ending the night on top with just under 2 million in chips.
