Vitaly LunkinOn the final hand, Vitaly Lunkin once again slow played pocket aces, but this time they held up to give him his second WSOP bracelet.

Lunkin limped on the button and Isaac Haxton raised 600,000 more on top. Lunkin made the call and the flop came down QDiamond Suit10Diamond Suit8Diamond Suit.

Haxton bet 1.2 million and Lunkin put him all in. Haxton called and showed 8Club Suit3Diamond Suit for bottom pair and a flush draw, while Lunkin revealed ASpade SuitAHeart Suit.

The turn and river came safely for Lunkin in the form of the 7Club SuitKSpade Suit and Haxton was eliminated in second place, earning $1,168,566.

Lunkin picked up $1,891,012 for his victory in the $40K Anniversary Event.

Isaac Haxton raised to 400,000 and Vitaly Lunkin made the call. The flop came out KClub Suit5Club Suit3Heart Suit and Haxton continued with a bet of 525,000. Lunkin raised to 1.45 million and Haxton called.

The turn was the 6Spade Suit and Lunkin bet 1.5 million. Haxton moved all in and Lunkin instantly called, showing slow played ASpade SuitADiamond Suit. Haxton turned over KSpade Suit10Spade Suit and needed a king or a ten to survive.

With one card to go before Lunkin’s victory, the dealer peeled off the 10Club Suit and Haxton’s side of the room exploded into celebration.

Isaac Haxton raised to 400,000 and Vitaly Lunkin reraised to 1.4 million. Haxton called and the flop came down AClub Suit5Club Suit4Club Suit. Lunkin bet 2 million and Haxton put him all in.

Lunkin made the call and showed QClub Suit10Spade Suit for a flush draw but he had Haxton in terrible shape when he could only produce QSpade Suit8Club Suit. Haxton needed an eight, and it came when the 8Diamond Suit hit the turn! Haxton and his cheering section could hardly believe it, as he was now just one card away from a bracelet.

But the river was the 2Club Suit, allowing the other side of the room to erupt, as Lunkin made his club flush and took back the lead. He now has 19 million to Haxton’s 5.5 million.

Dani Stern open shoved for his last 1.4 million and Isaac Haxton called in the small blind. Stern showed QHeart Suit10Club Suit and he needed help against Haxton’s ASpade SuitKHeart Suit.
