Richard Campbell has become Boylepoker.com’s latest sponsored player after winning the site’s Be Our Sponsored Pro competition and its $10,000 sponsorship package. He now joins the likes of Marty Smyth, Nicky Power, and John O’Shea in representing the site on international felt.
Online qualifiers were followed by a live ninehanded single table final held in Galway in which the Louthman took part in alongside Kevin Douglas, Richard Barnes, Cal McCarthy, Peter Higgins, Paul Corrway, Pat Halpin, Ross Walsh, and Danny Guiney.
Guiney managed to finish in second place despite missing his flight from Waterford and arriving late with the help of a lift from Boylepoker pro Nicky Power.
The final hand of the event came 20 minutes into the heads up with Guiney moving all in with 10

and Campbell making the call with K 10. The 9 8 5
flop went Guiney’s way, and he stayed ahead on the Q
turn also. However the K fell on the river and Campbell was welcomed to the team.
Guiney walked away with a Boylepoker.com Western Open ticket worth €340 for his runner-up finish.
