Oleg Prokhorov won the PokerStars Russian Poker Series Kiev earlier this week lifting $182,482 for his topping the field of 322 at Kreschatyk Poker Club, Kiev, Ukraine.
World Series of Poker bracelet winner Alex Kravchenko came sixth in the $2,500 + $600 buy in event which saw Prokhorov get heads up with Vadim Ostomaty.
Ostomaty moved all in on a board of J 8 3 with 8-4 only to be called by Prokhorov’s 9-9 which picked up another nine on the turn, scuppering Ostomaty’s chance of winning.
The final table payouts were:
1: Prohorov, Oleg — $182,482
2: Ostomatij, Vadim — $112,800
3: Ponomarev, Anton — $76,900
4: Karamanishvili, Livan — $48,800
5: Li, Pavel — $38,100
6: Kravchenko, Aleksandr — $29,500
Nevertheless he picked up €112,800 for second place.
The next Russian Poker Series event takes place in Malta between October 10 and 16.
