Ambassador for the fundraising festival Padraig Parkinson, said, “It’s been three years since we last ran a Poker For the Homeless weekend and its great to be back. The number of homeless and desperate people being helped by Brother Kevin and the Capuchin Day Centre has increased in this time.

“While things are not easy for anyone in the current economic crisis we know the poker community is a tight knit one and one with a strong tradition of giving so we look forward to a great turnout and some great craic along the way!”

Poker For The Homeless has raised almost €250,000 in the last seven years for homeless charities across Ireland.
