Ram Vaswani Wins Event No. 53

It's His First WSOP Bracelet

England's Ram Vaswani outlasted 769 players to win the World Series of Poker's $1,500 limit hold'em shootout last night to claim $217,438 and his first bracelet.

The final eight players were:

  • Sondre Sagstuen
  • David Baker
  • Ishak Noyan
  • Anh Van Nguyen
  • Rayvenia Puckett
  • Andrew Ward
  • David Mosca
  • Ram Vaswani

All the players started the final table with $300,000 chips. With everyone having such a nice chip cushion, final table play started off slowly as the players began the feeling-out process. The eliminations started coming after the second hour began.

Here's the order of the eliminations and the payouts:

  • Puckett, $9,582
  • Baker, $12,776
  • Sagstuen, $19,656
  • Noyan, $31,450
  • Mosca, $58,968
  • Van Nguyen, $83,538
  • Vaswani, $217,438
