NBC Releases List for National Heads-Up Poker

The list of players who were invited to compete in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship has been released. The event takes place at Caesars Palace from Feb. 29-March 2.

Each player, except two players who will qualifiy through NHUPC promotions, will buy in for $20,000 and will play for the grand prize of $500,000. Last year, Paul Wasicka was the champion. A $540 satellite into the NHUPC will take place at Caesars Palace on Feb. 17. Satellites to this event start running on the first of the month. One player will also qualify via an online qualifer on FullTiltPoker.net and another will qualify on PokerStars.net. NBC warned that most of these players have confirmed, but some changes could be made to the list the closer it gets to the tournament.
