European Poker Tour -- Prague Event Begins Tuesday

The Last PokerStars EPT Event of 2009 Takes Place in the Capital of the Czech Republic

PragueThe last PokerStars European Poker Tour event of 2009 begins tomorrow in Prague. The €5,000 no-limit hold’em main event begins at noon local time on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and the final table will crown a champion on Sunday, Dec. 6. The Golden Prague poker room at the Hilton Prague Hotel will host the tour’s stop, and many preliminary events will be included, as well. There will be multiple no-limit hold’em preliminary events with buy-ins ranging from €300-€2,000. There will also be a €1,000 pot-limit Omaha preliminary event and a €300 no-limit hold’em ladies event.

Players in the main event will begin with 30,000 in chips, and blinds will begin at 50-100. Levels will be 60 minutes long on day 1 and increase to 75 minutes in length thereafter. There will be two day-one flights to accommodate the maximum allowed field of 600 players.
