UKIPT Champion of Champions Final TableJust one day after his stunning victory in the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London main event, winner David Vamplew completed a remarkable double taking down the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Champion of Champions event.

The made-for-TV one table tournament featured all the winners of season I UKIPT main events – EPT London doubled as the grand final of season I UKIPT – and comprised Padraig Parkinson, Nick Risk, Jamie Burland, Andrew Couldridge, Max Silver, Femi Fakinle, Gilles Augustus, and Joeri Zandvliet.

Vamplew beat Jamie Burland heads up in the single table tournament to win a seat at every stop of Season 2, including the EPT London grand final next year.

Asked how it felt to have won two tournaments in as many days, Vamplew said, “It’s pretty good; after yesterday, it’s the icing on the cake.”

Burland, who won UKIPT Brighton, was gracious in defeat saying, “I hoped David would get tired after yesterday but… he played really good.”

Season II UKIPT gets underway in Galway, Ireland in December and qualifiers are underway at PokerStars.com.
