Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are known for fine dining and casual restaurants, premier shopping and two Forbes Five Star award-winning spas and salons. Of course, Mr. Wynn did not fail to bring one more piece of luxury to the table — a poker room as well-appointed as it is action packed.
Amenities & Action
The Wynn Poker Room is conveniently located next to Wynn’s 111,000 square-foot casino and features 26 non-smoking tables and plush seating. Players can expect to try their hand at no-limit hold’em, limit hold’em, Omaha eight-or-better, seven-card stud, pot-limit Omaha and mixed-game combinations with limits ranging from $1-$3 to $100-$200 and higher. The Card Player Poker Tour event associated with the upcoming Wynn Classic is something every player should put on their list.
“Our weekend tournaments are really gaining momentum,” said Director of Operations Joe Vigurs. “Our Saturday tournament has become the best weekly tournament being offered in the city, and thanks to our generous structure, we can say that we have some of the largest fields and largest weekly payouts.”
The Wynn Poker Room also offers a daily tournament listing featuring a weekday $125+$15 No-Limit Hold’em tournament at noon, as well as a $100+$15+$25 green chip bounty tournament every Thursday at 7pm. Every Saturday, players can expect a $200+$25 tournament featuring rebuys and an add-on that has a $25,000 guarantee. On Sundays, a $180+$20 re-entry tournament has a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Benefits
Within the poker room, players may enjoy cocktails, food and beverages as well as amenities including built-in power outlets and adjustable chairs. Players are followed using the state-of-the-art Genesis Bravo system to track play and maintain sign-up lists that can be accessed from their room or phone. Players with smart phone or tablet capabilities can even preview developing games, which are always listed in real time on the Wynn poker website or official app.
The Wynn Classic and the Card Player Poker Tour
Beginning February 28, Card Player Poker Tour makes a stop at Wynn during the Wynn Classic. Now in its seventh year, the series will feature 11 preliminary events with buy-ins ranging from $270+$30 to $2,000+$100 and includes no-limit hold’em, as well as pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better.
As the highlight of the series, the $5,000+$180 Card Player Poker Tour main event will boast an estimated prize pool of over $1 million. The final table of this championship event will be streamed live on CardPlayer.com and WynnPoker.com.
“Our reputation as a first class tournament destination is undeniable, which is why we attract some of the best players from all over the world,” said Tournament Director Gary Hager. “We offer the most competitive rake structure and guaranteed prize pools in Las Vegas, which makes Wynn Classic among the most highly anticipated poker tournaments.”
Players that would like to compete in the Card Player Poker Tour’s Wynn Classic event are encouraged to register early to avoid being placed on an alternate’s list.
If unparalleled luxury and action are what you expect from Las Vegas, Wynn and Encore will not disappoint. ♠
