Foxwoods Puts Up $1.1 Million In Guarantees For October World Poker Finals SeriesSeries Runs Oct. 5-22 |

Foxwoods Resort Casino will host the highly anticipated World Poker Finals this Oct. 5-22.
The series includes a number of special events, including a $400 no-limit hold’em high flyer stack event, where players start with 100,000 chips. This event has a $100,000 guarantee, and five starting flights beginning on Oct. 4. On Monday, Oct. 8, a $600 no-limit hold’em event with a $500,000 guarantee and four starting flights will also kick off.
A $250 no-limit PokerStars Players Hold’em Championship Platinum Pass Event with a $25,000 guarantee is a one-day event including re-entries that will play on Thursday, Oct. 18. The winner will get an added Platinum Pass valued at $30,000. This will include a $25,000 seat, $2,000 for travel expenses, and a six-night stay at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
The $2,500 no-limit hold’em championship event, which boasts a $300,000 guarantee, has two starting flights, on Friday Oct. 19 and Saturday Oct. 20. The $4,000 High Roller Event with re-entries is a two-day tournament kicking off at 5 pm on Sunday, Oct. 21.
There is so much more on a very full schedule that will keep players busy the entire series, including Omaha eight-or-better, a no-limit hold’em seniors event, pot-limit Omaha, H.O.S.E., seven-card stud eight-or-better, super stack turbo’s, a no-limit hold’em freezeout, ladies no-limit hold’em, and seven card stud.
Foxwoods Resort Casino is owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The property has over 2,000 rooms and is a massive complex with plenty of gaming, shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
