A lucky novice gambler in Las Vegas hit a table games jackpot of roughly $1 million at a popular Strip casino, the property said this week.

On Tuesday, the Flamingo Las Vegas, a Caesars property, said that a gambler won a $968,167 progressive jackpot at Face Up Pai Gow poker, in addition to a $5,000 bonus.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the fortunate player is a nail salon owner from Washington State. She reportedly hit the massive win during her first time ever playing Face Up Pai Gow poker. That’s what she claimed.

The winning hand was a straight flush in hearts.

The Flamingo, one of the oldest casinos on the Strip, is home to 2,000 slot machines and 90 tables, according to the most recent data from Caesars.

The casino has apparently been keen on Pai Gow lately, as the Flamingo recently introduced a Mini Pai Gow Poker table, the first in Las Vegas.

Below is an image of the payout from Tuesday’s massive jackpot at the casino.
