The Charity Series of Poker has announced a $400 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament hosted inside View Nightclub at Palms that will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association.

The Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to former NHL players with a focus on giving back to the community and growing the sport of hockey. They have identified three main areas to dedicate their efforts: first responders, under-served youth, and assistance for the under-nourished community.

Some of the biggest names that will be in attendance include former Vegas Golden Knights players Deryk Engelland and Paul Stastny. Former NHL star Shane Hnidy will also be in the charity poker tournament alongside his Vegas Golden Knights TV broadcast partner Dave Goucher, and Gary Lawless who is also part of the on-air team. Another big-name bounty in the tournament will be Survivor champion Adam Klein.

The poker tournament will start at 6:00 pm, and there will be a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a 50/50 cash draw preceding the tournament that begins when doors open at 4:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to attend the cocktail hour and silent auction for $100 without participating in the tournament. Starting stacks in the turbo tournament will be 10,000, with 20,000 chips per add-on available for $100.

The grand prize is a $10,000 seat in the 2024 World Series of Poker main event. Attire for all of the evening’s events is business casual. A lot of other final table and bounty prizes will be available as well.

Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy charities and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP.

This October event will be the 54th stop of the series, and other upcoming Las Vegas stops include a Viva St. Jude event on Sept. 9 with a $400 buy-in tournament hosted by Rose Rooftop at Resorts World, and the All in for Ability event on Sept. 16 with a $300 buy-in tournament hosted by The Stirling Club.

Come out and support the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association in building a community of former players and friends… together… giving back to Las Vegas.
