Charity Series Of Poker Beating The Odds Event Scheduled For Jan. 20

The Night Of Poker Fun In Atlantic City Will Benefit The Fundraiser St. Jude Organization

The Charity Series of Poker is bringing a night of fun for a good cause to Atlantic City, New Jersey when they will host the Beating The Odds event starting in just a few days on Jan. 20. All of the poker action will help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving Children. St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The evening will begin when the players will be treated to an open bar and appetizers during the silent auction and cocktail hour at Borgata’s beautiful Level One Cocktail Lounge and Bar starting at 6:30 pm.

Then the party moves up to the Central Conference Center for the turbo poker tournament with tons of cash prizes. The $225 buy-in charity poker tournament begins at 8:00 p.m. Re-entries for $225 and add-ons are available until registration closes at 9:30 pm.

Half the prize pool will go to payouts, and the other half will go to charity. There will be extra bonuses for the winner and the player with the most re-entries, along with tons of silent auction prizes. Here is a look at the list of items up for grabs in the silent auction.

Anyone is welcome to attend the cocktail hour and silent auction for $100 without participating in the tournament. Attire for all of the events is business casual. The silent auction will begin at the start of the reception before the tournament, and it will close at 11:00 pm.

Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy charities and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP. This upcoming event will be the 58th stop for the series, and the first event hosted on the East Coast for 2024.
