Claudio Cecchi reraised all in for 231,000 after Per Ummer opened a pot preflop. Ummer made the call and the flipped over their cards:

Cecchi was eliminated on the hand and Ummer grew his chip stack to 1.3 million.

As the dealer was about to deal the flop Ummer said, “I’m all in.” His all in would be for 800,000 which meant, if he called, de Goede’s tournament life would be on the line. The flop was dealt K 8 4 and de Goede folded. A puzzled/slightly in awe Joe Hachem who is sitting at the table said, “I’ve never see that before!”
Ummer was soon at it again. He popped a raise of 23,000 up to 55,000 and de Goede moved all in for 300,000. It was folded to Ummer who instantly called and flipped over pocket aces. De Goede showed pocket tens and the board came K J 4 9 9 and de Goede hit the rail. Ummer now has more than one million in chips.

Entering the action late, Mclean Karr bet enough to put Phil Ivey all in for 85,200 on a board of 3Q82 and Ivey called. Their hands:

A meaningless J hit on the river and Ivey doubled up to 194,000 in chips. Karr was still healthy despite the loss, with 367,000.
Galfond Eliminated Early
Facing a raise from Per Ummer, Phil Galfond moved all from the small blind for 29,900 more and Ummer called. Their hands:

Galfond: K10
Both players hit the flop of AK3, but Ummer stayed in the lead and held it through the 3 turn and 5 river.
Just like that, Galfond was eliminated early in the day and Ummer jumped to 180,000 in chips.
Jaffee Straightens Out Buchanan
Jared Jaffee raised to 8,100 from middle position and Shawn Buchanan reraised, making it 19,000. Jaffee called and they saw a flop of J107.
Jaffee checked and Buchana bet 16,500. Jaffee made the call and the turn brought the 8, prompting both players to check.
On the A river Jaffee fired 30,000 into the pot and Buchanan called and saw the bad news. Jaffee showed Q9 for the turned straight and Buchanan mucked, dropping to 150,000 in chips.
Jaffee was up to around 330,000 in chips following the hand.

Bertrand Grospellier raised to 3,000 and Joe Cada called behind him. Action folded to Per Ummer who reraised to 11,500.
Back to Grospellier, who reraised once again to 31,500. Cada folded and Ummer instantly moved all in. Grospellier called with A-K, but was in really bad shape to Ummer’s pocket kigns.
The board came A-A-5-7-7, however, giving ElkY the winning hand with a full house and sending Ummer from the tournament. Grospellier now has 195,000 in chips.

Ronald Kirk raised to $6,000 from under the gun. Per Ummer who was next to act re-raised to $20,500 and action folded back around to Kirk who took some time before making the call. The flop came down J 8 2 and Kirk moved immediately moved all-in and was called by Ummer. Kirk showed an A Q and Ummer showed 9 9 for the lead. The turn brought a 9 giving Ummer a set but also giving Kirk a flush draw. The river was the T giving Kirk the flush and the double up.
