You Can Win a Piece of Phil Ivey's WSOP WinningsNew Full Tilt Promotion Doles Out 6 Percent of His November Payday |

Full Tilt Poker announced this week that its players can earn “a piece of Ivey” in a new promotion that will give out cash prizes totaling more than 6 percent of whatever Phil Ivey earns for his World Series of Poker final table result. The seven-time bracelet winner is competing for a first-place prize of more than $8.5 million.
Starting today through Nov. 5, players can win tickets that can get them into two freeroll tournaments on Nov. 7 — a nine-person sit-and-go with a prize pool equal to 5 percent of Ivey’s November payday and a $50,000 freeroll wherein the winner will receive 1 percent of Ivey’s winnings, on top of the first-place prize money.
To have a chance at qualifying for these select tournaments, you simply need to play — and win.
Players can earn tickets in any cash game or tournament on the site, but they are only awarded tickets when they win a hand (in ring games) or when they finish in the money (in tournaments). For every FTP point a player earns in a winning hand on a cash game, he or she will receive five tickets for a special drawing on Nov. 6 to see who gets to play in the freerolls.
For every tournament or sit-and-go with more than 30 competitors, players will receive 20 tickets for each FTP point they earn when they finish in the money, and a bonus of 50 tickets for those who finish in the money and make the final table.
For any tournament or sit-and-go with less than 30 competitors, players will receive five tickets for each FTP point they earn when they finish in the money.
The system rewards both high-stakes players (since it is based on FTP points), as well as players who put in the volume (the more tickets you win, the better chance you have to be selected for the freeroll), but the fact remains that it is a lottery system, so even if a player just finishes in the money in a single tournament or wins just one hand in a cash game, he or she has the chance to participate in a nine-person tournament with a prize pool equaling 5 percent of Ivey’s winnings — which could equate to more than $425,000 if Ivey goes the distance and wins his eighth WSOP bracelet.
As if that wasn’t alluring enough, Full Tilt will also conduct daily cash drawings where the site will give away more than $150,000 in 600 drawings from now until the final table.
