The Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society (GPSTS) has announced several poker events featuring a trio of speakers at campuses with GPSTS charters.
On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Harvard law school is hosting journalist Vin Narayanan to discuss the Massachusetts Casino Gaming Bill. According to the GPSTS, Narayanan has worked for USAToday.com, CNN, and Capital News Service, and has been covering the Massachusetts Casino Gaming Bill story. He will give a briefing on the political atmosphere that has surrounded the pending legislation, including the bill’s controversial provision that would criminalize individual citizens for playing online poker.
On Thursday, Feb, 21, Wharton College and the University of Pennsylvania will host Card Player magazine’s own David Apostolico. He will talk about his book Poker Strategies for a Winning Edge in Business. A former Wall Street lawyer, he will talk about how poker and business cross over.
And on Wednesday, Feb. 27, George Washington University welcomes the Poker Player Alliance’s Executive Director John Pappas. He will speak on the current legal conditions surrounding poker, including current bills that are in committee.
